Question 2011 Jeep Compass Latitude CVT revs high and wont shift.

I was wondering if any one else has encountered this problem as well. When i got to gun it onto the freeway my Compass will rev really high, like up to 6k rpm but wont shift until i let off of the gas a little and then it will up shift. Is this a known issue or does this sound unique?

Unique, better have it checked out. If you blow the CVT it will really cost you big time. Millage may have given other clues.

Hi Zerozz,

I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis. You can offer to do a test drive with a technician or service advisor, in my experience this is usually helpful. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
