Rough Shifting

Hi - new to this forum and new to Jeep. I recently traded in my Ram for the Jeep (it is a 2015 Compass Sport, 4D Sport Utility, 2.4L I4 DOHC 16V Dual VVT, 6-Speed Automatic, 60K on it) because I needed to downsize. I test drove it and noticed no issues and around town I did not notice any issues. The dealer said that it was all good to go but I took it on a major highway for the first time and I was noticing that it was shifting rather hard. It almost shutters at some points when accelerating. I plan on calling the dealership first thing in the morning but I wanted to see if this was a fairly common issue?

Any input would be appreciated!

I have the same engine/ trans in my 2017 Latitude (1st gen). When I accelerate lightly it shifts like a regular automatic, but under medium or hard acceleration it acts more like a manual transmission, seems like it lets off throttle during each shift. I have no shutter or problems with it otherwise.
