2012 Jeep Compass Limited

We have a 2012 Jeep Compass Limited with the 2.4 engine, recently while driving, the vehicle has experienced a momentary electrical system on/off type problem. Everything shuts off just for like second and then comes back on. It happened to my wife yesterday exact same thing. This is the first two times it has ever done this. Also, last Sunday we went out to crank it and after inserting the key and turning it, nothing at all happened. The left turn signal was on, not blinking at all, just on. Got out and tried jumping it off from another vehicle, still nothing. No horn, no lights, no radio no interior lights, nothing. Removed the ground cable from the battery, no corrosion and it was not loose. Put it back on, tightened down good, got back in and turned the key, the engine cranked and everything worked. Another day I was coming home, stopped for a minute, come back out, same thing happened. Got back in after removing the ground cable, everything has worked fine until yesterday and today. The Jeep has 39,000 miles and has never given us any problem like this the whole time we have owned it, I am at a complete loss????? Anyone have any ideas what could be going on??

LKicklight - was this ever resolved? Curious as to what it was.

I doubt this is related, but I thought I'd mention it-

Safety Recall N17 / NHTSA 13V-120
Fuel Tank Transfer Tube
2012 (MK) Jeep Compass and Patriot
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine (sales code ED3) and 4x4 (sales code 5I4) built from October 18, 2011 through May 07, 2012 (MDH 101821 through 050700).
The fuel tank transfer tube on about 20,000 of the above vehicles may have been incorrectly manufactured. When the fuel transfer process becomes interrupted the vehicle is only operating on fuel from the primary side of the fuel tank. Sustained driving during this condition will deplete the fuel in the primary side of the fuel tank while fuel remains in the secondary side of the fuel tank. This could cause the engine to stall without warning under certain driving conditions and cause a crash without warning.
The fuel tank transfer tube located inside the fuel tank must be replaced.
