ETC/ESP Lights. Limp Mode.

Hello all! New to the forum, but I have a 2007 Jeep Compass Limited with the 2.4L approx. 181k miles. Recently it has been giving me the ETC/ESP lights upon start up and a simple off/on would fix the problem. I went and cleaned the throttle body after getting quite annoyed the one day and it seemed to help for a while. Now it will barely start and if it does, it stays in limp mode no matter how many times I turn it off/on. This seems to be a common problem I've found when researching the issue. Anyone else have this same issue and what was your/the dealers conclusion? It is uncommonly cold out right now and cannot really sit outside and work on it right now, so hoping it'll start and can drive it slowly to someones heated garage soon. So far it seems as if; A: Exposed wire SOMEWHERE. B: Bad throttle body C: Corrosion on connector pins at gas pedal, computer, or throttle body.

Thanks for any input you guys may have!

corrosion of your wires going into your ECU is my guess, they have a real piss poor design, I had to get mine fixed for about $1000 from a dealer, they said my wires corroded at the ecu so they had to replace the engine wireing harness .. had same issue tho I got them lights acouple times, but then mine stopped starting all together

Garage
The plastic kick pedal on the left of the brake pedal has a pile of wires underneath it and that has caused a few people (myself included) lots of problems with loose and shorting connections, take that plastic pedal off and see if the wires under there are corroded.
