2013 Sport intermittent start

I just bought a used 2013 Jeep Compass Sport from a reputable dealer.
I have 60 days / 3000 miles warranty.
At first, I thought maybe I had left the headlights on, and drained the battery.

Most recent issue was yesterday.
Arrived at work, turned everything off, went to work.
Lunchtime, turned the key, I got the normal instrument cluster lights, dings, etc.
Would not turn over. Nothing, not a click, or whine.
Battery measures 12.48 volts.

4pm, time to go home, my coworkers have jumper cables ready.

Turn the key, and the damn thing starts like normal.

Where should I start looking?

Thanks everyone

While it's running, voltage measures above 14, so I figure the alternator is fine

Is this the first time this has happened or does this happen intermittently? If intermittently can you pin point how often and typically when? ? Kevin T, Social Connect Team

Could be the cable connection at the battery terminals. Clean them if you haven't yet.

Could be many things. Log this with the dealer while its covered. Battery can be bad or other components. Before boosting it you should have first tried without the boost then if it didn't respond then connect and boost. That would have verified the problem is there at the battery and/or connections there may have moved when clamping it on.
