How do I disable horn chirp on remote start?

I read on another Jeep forum that it's as simple as removing a green wire from the horn relay. Is this true? Has anyone done this? If so, where exactly is this relay located?
I'm tired of jumping out of bed every time my wife starts her car
Thanks in advance.

First welcome to the forum..............it is actually a simple configuration if your Compass is an '09 (that's what I have), check your owner manual...........very simple I did it for mine.

Thanks for the welcome....
I believe her car is an 07'. But, the horn chirp I'm speaking of is the chirp that sounds when the car is being started with the remote starter, not when the doors are locked or unlocked.

This remote starter was an aftermarket Mopar accessory that was installed by the dealer after the car was purchased as a freebie. I read that the hard wire can be disconnected from the horn relay...do you know where that is? I checked my car (Charger), but the wire and horn relay are in totally different locations than in Jeeps.

Maybe disconnect or remove the remote starter.
It really is a needless luxury.
