Oil in coolant

I bought a used 2.0L CRD 5 DR sports wagon and have found oil in the coolant. I know this points to a cracked cylinder head or failed gasket but the car still runs fine which doesn't fit plus there is absolutley no smoke coming out the exhaust when it runs. I took it back to the dealership which was Suzuki and they alledgedly phoned a Jeep dealership for help and were advised that it was proabably the oil cooler. They then quoted $2000 to change it (I live in Western Australia which is around the most expensive place in the world for labour at the moment) I found a guide how to install your own oil cooler but then realised it was specifically for petrol models, the oil filter on the diesel engine is a different type completely. My question at last is A) Would there even be an oil cooler on a diesel? B) If there is one could that be my problem and where is it located?
