Popping in the tranny

My wife has a 2007 Jeep Compass Limited.
I have rebuilt the front end completely Jeep drove great, no pops or sounds, and then BAM, a lady hits us in the driver side tire.

Ok, it broke the axle, and tore up all the suspension on the driver side and broke the motor mounts and bent the sway bar, fender and door and front bumper.

Its all repaired and now 2 months later, it pops. when you get in it and put it in reverse and give it gas it pops, then I pull it into D and start to take off it pops again. then after that, at stop signs and take off no sounds...ect. I have jacked it up and went over it with a fine tooth comb. I can not find the popping, unless its the tranny. With it jacked up in PARK, I spin the driver side back and forth and It clunks....Is that normal.

I can hold the brakes and pull it to D I hear a pop or click, then I put it into R I hear it again.

They replaced the motor mount on the back and the one on the tranny under it. When I rock it it seems good.

Any advise Guys? Its driving me nut.....and the wife!!

Solved

Found that the shop did not replace the motor mounts and the CV joint they claimed to replaced was busted. They charged the insurance for all that and didn't do it.
