2014 Jeep compass popping noise after axle change
I'm stumped on a issue I came across with our 2014 4x4 jeep compass north. I replaced the front passenger side c/v axle not long ago, after I installed this, I noticed a bit of a pop/clunk sort of noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. It will make this noise when you shift from park to drive (power tech auto transmission), and sometimes when applying the brakes.
If you are sitting in park, and turn the steering wheel left to right you can slightly feel a bit of "pop, pop, or clunk", its only faintly. I could feel it by touch when I had my hand on the rack and pinion inner tie rod.
I'm hoping some of you have experience with this, could it be bushings, or is a rack and pinion needed, maybe something else?
Thanks everyone, have a great day
