Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone here might have an answer-

I drive a 2010 Compass Sport 4x4 with a manual transmission. Recently I've noticed a loud whining sound when I compress the clutch. It sounds like the power steering pump out of an old Ford that's low on fluid. As soon as I let the clutch out, it stops. I checked the reservoir and its full of fluid. I thought the usual thing when there's a whiny clutch; the throwout bearing. But there isn't any chatter in the gears. It shift smoothly and there isn't any slippage I can feel. Just an extremely loud and noticeable whine. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution or is it normal on this model? Thanks in advance.
