This problem has plagued several Jeep models. Thanks to the Jeep community I was able to identify the issue and get the fix without spending myself silly.
Using the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE Bluetooth OBD II Scanner Auto Diagnostic Scan... $34 after tax & Prime shipping + Car Scanner ELM OBD2 free version Car Scanner ELM OBD2 – The best car OBD2 diagnostic solution for iOS and Android in your pocket!
I confirmed that indeed the rear left ABS antilock brake sensor (Mopar part # 68309279AD)
was bad. Once replaced all systems were back online.
The following issues were all solved with one <$40 part:
Dynamic Steering Torque Service Required
Service ESC System
Service Antilock Brake System
Service Parking Break
4WD System Unavailable Service Required
SERV 4WD warning light
Parking Break warning light
ABS warning light

We have three 2018 Compass' and one of them is having this issue. I changed out the batteries ( both of em) and it was fine for a few months but now its back again. Thanks for the links and info. I ordered up the scanner and hopefully I can start diagnosing it..

Using the scanner I get three codes.. U0140 (BCM NO COMMUNICATION) U0420 ( invalid data power steering module) and U110a.. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see whats up. Car has only 18,000 miles on it but its out of warranty due to time. Should NOT be having these issues with such low mileage.

Dealer said there were 38 stored DTC's. Cleared em all and drove it 90 miles over 6 days and couldnt get anything to happen.Sooo, we wait and see.

Rod, thanks for posting this. did the notices disappear after driving it a few minutes? Ours has the similar issue, but has a constant "service engine" light. the other DIC lights disappear after 5 minutes and the jeep seems to run fine... Our code show left front wheel sensor...

No they didnt. We picked the car up and a cop day or two the error messages came back. Its my daughters car and she says it comes and goes. Not sure what to do at this point. Dont want to see her invest in a $$$$$$ of diagnostic's to chase this.

will hold off on throwing parts at it, sounds like classic Chrysler electrical gremlins ... ours comes and goes also for the past week, the lights never stay on constant and drivability seems fine. Pretty sad with only 26K on ours :(. I'll research other models and see what the consensuses is for a fix

Yeah, after researching the heck out of this it seems that it could either be caused by voltage issues and an overly sensitive system. I've read others issues an its been from nothing more than the temp sensor on the battery all the way to a broken wire hidden somewhere. Problem is much of the stories could be due to technicians that are blindly changing things out and its fine for a while so they post their "solution" and then you dont hear back that it didnt work.We have three Compass' and only one is having issues. I'll update with any new info if I have it.

Rod, something just came to mind. When I was working on father-in-law‘s 2006 Lexus, the exact symbols came up when calibration is out for the steering wheel … hummm ?
