Hi everyone. I think most people are aware of the issue where the touch screen, in the 2017-2018 Chrysler/Jeep, separates from the Uconnect system. Well it finally got me. I called Uconnect to put in a claim, as prescribed by a YouTuber who was able to get the repairs done for free with limited questions asked. They are now requiring the owners to pay out of pocket and then submit a claim that will be reviewed and MAY be reimbursed. There are a bunch of criteria that need to be met. Took me a moment to coax the list of requirements out of the “1st Level” representative. He wouldn’t/couldn’t connect me to the “2nd Level” representative (I affectionately dubbed Oz) without having an assessment and paid invoice from the dealership. Anyway, I say all that to ask has anyone else tried to put in a claim to replace the Nav after the warranty has expired because of this screen separation issue? What’s the secret to not paying out of pocket first? Thanks! Be safe on the road!
