So the very first night I had the car the volume would only allow me to mute the music, and when I unmuted the music the volume was up at the highest volume (which scared the hell out of me). I could not adjust the volume at all and had to mute the radio the whole ride home (because who wants to feel like they went to a concert by the time they arrive home). That was March 9th. When I turned the car off and back on everything worked fine. I talked to the dealership and they said they never heard of an issue like this before, and that it was probably just a fluke occurrence and will not happen again. I was just happy to have a new car and said ok and never thought about it again until Wednesday. On Wednesday my cars radio did the exact opposite and the volume would just sit at 0. I could not turn up the volume on the radio or on the usb or Bluetooth. Again once I turned the car off then on everything went back to normal. Then today I was sitting at work and a coworker was asking if anyone drove a silver Compass. I said I did and she said, your radio is on. It was lunch time so somehow in a span of four hours after I turning my car off and locking my car, my radio decided to turn on. I have keyless entry so when I approached the car I did so slowly like I was in a horror movie to see if the keyless entry was or affected by it somehow. I noticed the touchscreen was off and that indeed the music was playing. Then as soon as the door unlocked (keyless entry, not by myself) the music stopped playing. All I have to say is I am not a happy camper and I have an appointment tomorrow to take it in to the dealership. I also wanted to know has anyone had any similar isssues with their new Compasses?

Hi Billy Trella,
We regret to hear of these instances and understand how they could be frustrating. We would like to make sure this is documented within our systems and offer our assistance should you choose to have this looked into further by your dealer. If this is something that interests you, please send us a private message with additional details.
