2022 Uconnect 5 - Box Requires Service Error Message

Hello to our Jeep Brand enthusiasts,

We've been monitoring your conversations and hear your concerns surrounding your Uconnect 5 systems, and a "Uconnect Box Requires Service" error message that you may be receiving. We wanted to provide some clarification, to put your minds at ease. We can confirm that the pop up does not reflect an internal radio error that requires a dealership visit. We apologize for the concern and confusion that this may cause you, but please know that our teams are actively working on a resolution. At this time, we are able to confirm the fix will be delivered via an over-the-air update to the telematics box module (TBM). While our teams are hoping to release this software fix by the end of Q1 2022, this timing is subject to change at any time and we appreciate your patience throughout the process.

I wish we can see the updates and release dates and also push the system to manually check. I have not seen the error after the last update around a month ago

The over-the-air update for the telematics box module was released 3/25/22. You should have received a prompt on your radio screen walking you through an update. If you did not receive the update or are still experiencing this concern, feel free to send us a PM with your VIN for further investigation of the concern.

I am still receiving the message "Uconnect Box requires service". I have not received any OTA updates since Fall 2021 that I am aware of. Can you please investigate? I am posting a reply so that I can send you a PM.

Any updates on this? I just purchased a Latitude 2022, a few weeks ago. Is there any hope this issue will be resolved?
I purchased a Jeep Compass one month ago....have not yet set up Uconnect but I am receiving an error message: "Uconnect box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer." Has this issue been resolved and is there any concern about driving my vehicle with this error message.

Same issue. I brought it to the dealer. Issue went away for a few days. i have gotten it 3 times today alone!

Even if your engineers still haven’t found the causes/solution; at least communicate with your customers!!

@JeepCares I have a 2022 jeep compass. This started recently with the uconnect issue also. Called them said not an issue unless i cant clear it. My fm radio started to go out. Anyway to fix this? Going on roadtrip soon and dont want issues on the road

I just saw the Unconnect box error message this evening for the first time, on 8/15/22. I purchased my 22 Compass at the end of May 2022. How can I receive the update to fix this issue?
