I just reciently did the Pcm /Tcm updates because my transmission was shifting weird and now it shifts better but more like a stick ..yesterday I went out and started it and it had my 4 wheel drive service light on and said 4 wheel drive was non functional . called dealer and scheduled an appt for tomorrow but drove vehicle to friend and back ,,,half way back the 4 wheel drive came back then went out again ...the came back and was ok for rest of the day ..15000 miles on it ...anyone have a clue what this is ? was thinking servo or actuator ? but seems more like an electric issue to me { the in and out status }} ??? and if so where are the servo/actuator located at ? just in case dealer cant figure it out {the old cant duplicate the problem routine }}

the vehicle has been at the dealer since Monday ...Seems it was diagnosed as an actuator inside the rear differential...
Dealer was told they had to replace the entire differential ….Part just arrived today ...and I will not get vehicle back until early next week ….then they also stated the new rear may not communicate with the old Module ,,,not sure what its actually called ….so they may have to replace the module too ,,,,but we haven't gotten to that stage yet as dealer only has 4 hr work schedule each day due to Covid 19 ...

Oh btw ,,,I found out today that water had infiltrated either the actuator or the rear axle ,,,not clarified yet as to which..because it wasn't sealed properly at the factory ...hmmmmmmm…..will know more when I actually see the vehicle come home
