Im not sure if this post was geared towards me, but I had asked a legitimate question. I normally go to reddit with issues like this but the Jeep reddit doesnt have much info on the radio fading issues. This site has been great for up to date information but It’s hard to follow all the updates on the update when the threads keep getting closed and new threads opening. All radio volume fading threads were locked and condensed to “Radio”(locked). A new thread created for “update has begun” which is now locked and the new thread created for the update postponement. And a separate thread for gripes. I wasnt trying to be argumentative just wondering if I am eligible for the update going out by the end of the month or the update with no timeline? Hence why i asked if I was reading it correctly that the update is still rolling out and the only postponement is for software R17.89?

I just got off the phone with Jeep wave and the person, although very nice, had no knowledge of a postponement to the update and still under the impression that the update may be over the air OR have to go to a dealership (which seems to not be the case). You would think Jeep would notify their employees dealing with complaints/service issues/concerns of the postponement for compasses with R17.99 and that the update is over the air only. I also asked if it was all 2022 jeep compasses having radio issues or just a select few and he said it wasnt all of them 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I spoke to a lemon law lawyer who recommended filing for arbitration. They are sending me a template to use and Jeep would have 20 days to respond to fix the issue.

Wow. High praise indeed from someone posting about one (1) single topic. Your contributions have been engrossing too.
You talk of community spirit yet all you have done here was criticize and diminish everyone who is experiencing their brand new jeeps having audio issues. If this isnt an issue concerning you and you feel the need to respond sarcastically to almost every comment then why not just “unfollow” or skip through new posts on these threads? It bothers you that much that the most engagement as of recently has been regarding an issue you have no connection to? I find it laughable when people complain on forums about threads/posts being created that they opine as useless or spamming. Just skip over it nev. This is a place to VENT about the radio issues.

I was at my dealer a few days ago and talked to the service manager. I asked her if she had any customers with the volume problem that had received the OTA update. She said that she had not received any notice that the update was released. I told her it had been released and then withdrawn and just recently released again. She was not aware of any of this! The dealership has 4 customers with the problem who are waiting for a fix. Looks like Stelantis just cant seem to get their act together on this even a year later and is not communicating with the dealers about the problem.
Hey KCM where are you at with filing arbitration? Have they set a hearing date yet?
