Wow. High praise indeed from someone posting about one (1) single topic. Your contributions have been engrossing too.
You talk of community spirit yet all you have done here was criticize and diminish everyone who is experiencing their brand new jeeps having audio issues. If this isnt an issue concerning you and you feel the need to respond sarcastically to almost every comment then why not just “unfollow” or skip through new posts on these threads? It bothers you that much that the most engagement as of recently has been regarding an issue you have no connection to? I find it laughable when people complain on forums about threads/posts being created that they opine as useless or spamming. Just skip over it nev. This is a place to VENT about the radio issues.

The headunit is Magneti Marelli (Japanese) not Jeep.

*That means "Holland" or the "Netherlands" for the geographically challenged.
Calsonic Kansei was merged into Magneti Marelli in 2018, after which the overall corporation became just "Marelli", headquartered in Japan. But the subsidiary Magnetti Marelli remains headquartered in Corbetta, Italy. The Jeep electronics are almost certainly from the Italians, from both the Fiat heritage and based on timing. Japan is a long way from Italy. You must be geographically challenged.

Funny, but sad. To much like the broken update promises.
I wonder who’s doing the programming? Some subcontractor with no idea how the software works with the hardware? Seen that far too often…in other industries…

Oh, there are always parties down here (in "Ireland") to go to.

But yeah, it was difficult to pinpoint Japan when I spent the whole of November there.
But Corbetta looks nice. I might take the Jeep there next month as a side trip from Turin. It's not too far from here. (In "Ireland".) Thanks for the idea.

(Hopefully any updates that are getting pushed out won't break the stereos here. Otherwise we'll have to use @KCM 's apocryphal songbook.

I wonder if technology has peaked? Clearly it has outpaced reliability. What good is a vehicle with all these features if they don't work? When we have to take our eyes off the road for extended periods to make ordinary devices function, like whistling Dixie backwards to turn on the defroster . . . well, yes, I guess we do need those crash-avoidance gizmos. So tell me, are automobile accidents declining? Didn't think so.

Well now, here's a solution that just might work. Back in 1974 when the national speed limit dropped to 55, I heard a Connecticut official remark on the radio that the number of vehicle crashes had declined significantly. IIRC, he said, "People are steering their cars instead of aiming them." How about if all cars were equipped with a governor set to the speed limit (My Garmin knows the speed limit on every road, so it could be linked to the control module to limit vehicle speed to the legal limit) There would be no need for the police to park behind shrubs on the interstate, it would free up the police to pursue real criminals, and the courts could deal with matters that mattered.

Call me a dreamer . . . but I bet it's coming.

What an absolute nightmare this is. I am officially giving up and going to Ford next week, which coincidentally, is right across the highway from where I got this piece of trash 2022 Jeep Compass just 4 months ago. Trading it in for a Ford, whether that be an Explorer or Bronco.

I've owned Jeep vehicles for the past 20 years or so. I will NEVER purchase another Jeep vehicle of any kind ever again. The only thing worse than this actual car is the "Customer Service" and Jeep's handling of this issue, which has been absolutely laughable at every level thus far, including the nothing updates that have been posted on this very website.

Trading in will cost you thousands of dollars. Consider arbitration, which would probably result in a buy back of your Jeep.

I feel absolutely the same way as you do but unfortunately, I can't afford to take the loss! I am retired and living on a fixed income and without some help I won't be able to trade to a Ford like you want to do! That's why I have filed a Lemon Lawsuit against Jeep and can't wait to get out of this POS!

Yep, in China or other states with full surveillance.
In this dream, we will end with 10mins only for a toilet break at gas stations or otherwise we are obstructing peace and order and the tide of enforced fees will start to accumulate in counties piggy banks endlessly. It's a nightmare not a dream, sorry. Another related comment for all these "automatic-autonomous" use of our cars hype - if you need autonomous ride, please sit in a bus or train, cars are to be driven. SUVs especially, off road means freedom of movement.

And it's for completely another topic, that car manufacturers today with too much computers and electronics are pushing drivers even a for simple DIY to be hackers not mechanics anymore.

Nope. No update. No end in sight.
I am SO GLAD I found this site because I had no idea that this was happeneing to anyone other than me - my Dealearship led me to believe that I was doing something wrong (they initially blamed my cell phone). And then finally in December I too was told to wait for an update that was 'coming'. I called them last week for an update and got none of this information. So thank you for posting . At least now I know I'm not some crazy woman complaining about a problem that apparently does "not exist".

I believe your Dealership like mine has been instructed to LIE about this issue, so they continue selling these vehicles, that is why Jeep never issued a TSB until recently. Please check out the RADIO section to see the thousands of complaints and how poorly Jeep is handling customers complaints!
