On paper 2020 Jeep Compass says you can travel 338 miles. BUT !
i just fill up to a full tank. I average 25.5 miles per gal. Distance I can actual go is 233 mile. VERY DISAPPOINTMENT!

I believe the 338 miles is for long distance steady driving under miles per hour? Compass has a 13.5 gas tank.
Anyone else is having to fill up very often?

I am still learning about the Jeep Compass Trailhawk. Never thought I would buy a Jeep Compass or any Jeep. We had a car accident ( no one injury) and we needed a second car. (Prefer Toyotas)
We look around on the first day of looking , drove the Compass Trailhawk and my wife love the size and handling . Brought on the spot.
I like the way it drives and the 4x4 system works great for the coffee farm ( going up and down a steep hill.).
Just after one week of owning it. We still like it. But learning about all the flaws it has.
would I buy another one? Um. Not sure ? And No Subaru dealers where I live.

One more thing the radio in the Jeep Compass cannot receive my flavorite radio station (am 90.7). All three of my other cars /4x4s have NO problems catching this station ( another disappointment).

233 miles ? I fill up today, a little over 8 gals. Drove approx 79.3miles right after, almost down 1/3 tank , average 27.2 mpg. Dash show 163 mile to empty. NOT GOOD!
Vehicle is a stock Trailhawk. Still I am happy to get over 25 miles per gall.

Just have to visit Costco more often. Kona,Hawaii Costco is the third largest Costco in America in sales. Our gas stations lines are super long. “Every mornings “there is a gas tanker refilling Costco pumps and some days a 2nd gas tanker is called in.
The number one Costco in America is Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hawaii Costco sell fresh “Poke” , “Kalua pig”, “poi”, Lomi-salmon..etc..lots of local stuffs..

I missing a part of my antenna? The screw in tip. Just order a replacement.

My driving is city , highway and off roading on a coffee land roads ( farm is on a hillside) up & down everyday.

Yes the gas tank is small. Very disappointed,. My 2001 Toyota Camry has a 18 gal gas tank vs Jeep Compass with a 13.5 gas tank.

My dash board says average 25.7. BUT the Trip screen shows 21.8 average. I am confuse?
Which one is the truest?

At 334 miles per tank , averaging 27.8 miles per gal.
I am getting 21.8 mpg (actual) X 13.5 v 294 miles per fill up.

I do not have a heavy foot ,nor do I take off at high speeds.

I am disappointed with mileage. But I expect a little drop due to one size bigger tires, 225/65/r17 BFG Trail Terrains. Theses are great tires for our purpose. We do go off road everyday..

I got it. Press the OK button on the steering wheel for both gas average & miles average. It’s a learning process. This Jeep is I going into the third week of ownership.

My thoughts so far for the Jeep Compass? On the Highways the Compass handles the roads very well, easy to steer. I am use to rough riding vehicles ( owning 4x4 since the 70’s to present.)
The 4x4 is use everyday to come home and go out to town. We live on a Coffee farm located on a hill side, a bit rocky dirt, some part of the road has some paving.
Gas tank is small, average gas between 20.0-24.7 225/65/r17 BFG Trail Terrain tires.
Easy to park. My wife find it easy to drive. She also drives the 4x4 Toyota Tundra sometimes when needed.

The looks are nice ,White with a black roof, the red tow hooks looks “cool”. Interior is leather with cloth . All black. For us the interior looks very nice. Note we are in the 70’s -old folks here.
Seat are not the most comfortable. Having a hard time finding the right balance of comfort.

Over all we are very happy with the Jeep Compass Trailhawk. Our 2001 Tundra get less 13 mpg, my 2019 Tacoma LB TRD-lifted, gets less 13 mpg. So having this Jeep getting 20 mpg…nice!

Thank you, Jeep Compass MPG … I am finding myself filling up two times a week. Most of our other vehicles, maybe once a week or every other week.. And my wife and are both retired. Mostly shopping and visiting other people. Off road everyday too. From the house we go to the coffee mill every morning. Is A very short drive. There is alway some kind of work to do plus our vegetable garden needs daily care too. Down hills I am usually 4- lock. Up hills 4-Low plus rock mode.
