I know what's at stake if I replace the stock 5" radio. If I do, will the USB ports still work with Crutchfield's harness you get? I think that's how Car Play works, thru the cable right?

I would not do an aftermarket radio. There are way too many integrations with our head units and the compass to trust compatibility. I would suggest you get a 7" or 8.4" upgrade. It is about $20 more on https://www.lkqonline.com/ for an 8.4" screen and they tend to be a better compatibility option on getting unlock codes for the unit. There are a lot of 7" screens for sale right now but unlock codes can be hard to come by because of certain manufacturers of the radios require a full VIN flash from the dealer(IE: contential radios). This is why I suggest 8.4". Also, suggest LKQ because you will get VIN and receipt of sale, this is usually enough to get the dealer to swap it out or reflash with some $ involved if you don't want to do 8.4".

I would sugest you look at these two threads for what you need plus the radio from LKQ.

Aftermarket just seems like it would be a disaster if our own OEM part is hard enough.

Thats what I was afraid of :( I was hoping to keep the dealer out of it. But LKQ seems to be the cheapest I've seen. Thanks alot!!
