Although I haven't attempted this, per my AllData subscription, appears it requires removal of the glove box (about 3 screws on top inside, 2 on bottom, and 1(2?) behind the side "silencer panel." They also caution to remove the negative battery terminal and disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS.)
What model and year Jeep do you have?
I just did an inspection and cleaning of my cabin filter.
I have a 2007 jeep compass.
On this car you do not have to remove the glove box cover.
Here;s what I did:
1. Emptied the glove box
2. Inserted a flat plastic sheet between the "rubber bumpers" located on each side of the glove box.
3. Pulled the glove box towards me. The box flexes and allows the "bumper" to ride on the sheets. No prying necessary. Just pull.
it's not difficult. i've done it on my '18 compass trailhawk. i couldn't find a step by step video for the compass, but it's the same as the renegade. i can't post links yet since i'm a new user, so i'll try to post it below.
