Anyone order a 2018 Compass? I just ordered a 2018 Limited in pearl tri coat and was told 10-12 weeks that's seems long. When I had ordered my 15 KL TH it took 5 weeks.

I ordered mine August 1st, arrived at the dealership on September 19... this was a stock order, not a sold order with my name on it. It took less than 5 weeks for them to build it - the rest was transport time.

Thanks,

I ordered it on 9/16 and still don't have a Vin# yet. This is a sold order, the one that states built for on the window sticker. The dealer said I should have it mid December, I thought that a bit long this is my 14th ordered car in my life and the longest I ever waited was 8 weeks for an 83 Olds 442. But I have a graphics package also which they said it's sent to another shop for as well.

We just worked with the dealer and found exactly what we wanted at a different dealer 600 miles away. They traded with the other guy (in San Diego) and we got our Compass in about 10 days.

My wife wanted Pearl Tri-Coat with the striping package, they looked and couldn't find it anywhere. 6 weeks I can live with.

I understand completely.
We bought ours for my wife's DD, and she knew EXACTLY what she wanted.

Usually when I buy vehicles, I'll act like I just have to have something.... then discount the price if it's not there.
I usually end up with a white vehicle from the current dealer stock, with just a few feature boxes checked... but I save $$$.

Woohoo!?!

I placed an order for a Jeep Compass 4x4 Sport MT the evening of September 11. They told me it would take 7 to 8 weeks. On October 14th, I got a call telling me my vehicle has arrived. 33 days. Wow! I pick it up later today.

Couldn’t believe it got here so quick. Wasn’t ready for it. I’m a little excited.

Nice, I'm already at 30 days and it's not even scheduled to be built yet. I have Jeep Garage (Milos) updating it daily. From what I've been told it's over 10 days just in travel time to reach my dealer from when it's loaded on the train.

Well after speaking with the dealer today, it will be around 10 weeks from order date before our Compass arrives. We're starting week 6 and it's not even scheduled for build yet. 1 good thing I learned today is we got in by 2 days on the Pearl white Tri Coat, now that color costs $495 more, when we ordered it it was free.

Update our ordered Compass will not hit the assembly line till the week of the 13th. After speaking to the dealer I contacted Jeep customer care and according to them demand is so high for the Compass that orders now are taking 10-12 weeks to arrive at dealers. I'm told early December from a 9/16 order date. Hope it's worth the wait! Every option but towing on a Limited.

I ordered mine on 9/14, Limited with all but towing as well, in olive green, and picked it up from the dealer this evening. I was told the same thing less than a week ago, that I wouldn't get it to till December, so maybe you'll get yours before December!

That's a bummer. My order didn't go in until about 10/20, and I was thinking early December myself (having heard 6-8 weeks delivery). Now I'm just hoping it arrives before the end of the year, and snow season. At least it's popular; aftermarket (and Mopar) support should be as healthy as for the Renegade, and FCA will have incentive to work out the first year model bugs and such.

All the best with your new ride. We have a 15 TH in Eco Green so the wife didn't want another green but it's a great color. We got Pearl Tricoat.I hope so, well even when you order a car it will show on the dealers inventory when you go to their website. Once you get your Vin# you can call Jeep customer care for updates and once it's built you'll see it as in transit on your dealers website. Mine still hasn't been built yet, and I've been told it's approx 10 day travel time from Mexico to hear in N.Y.

Huh, thanks for the tip. Now that you say that, I do see mine on my dealer's site with a VIN. It doesn't list the Tu-Tone paint group like the others (as discussed and which was on the signed order agreement) so I'm guessing they just omitted it from the listing. But everything else is there and it's definitely mine; the head sales guy said he'd never order one like my configuration (without nav) unless specially requested.

Actually, per customer care (and my dealer shortly thereafter, oddly) I just learned my vehicle is due to arrive by 11/28 (with Tu-Tone, phew).

That's a turnaround of about 6 weeks. Very strange, maybe demand is higher on the Limiteds, and/or there are fewer production runs scheduled for them? Either way, JAdams, odds are decent you might have your vehicle sooner than expected.

So, my Compass arrived at the dealership yesterday. Ordered about 10/20, the turnaround time turned out to be closer to 4 weeks. Seems crazy. Won't actually be able to take delivery until Friday or Monday due to paperwork, the holiday, etc... but still wayy sooner than expected.

Not to spam/revive a dead thread, but this will affect JohnAdam too. Recently found out the new Compass I was supposed to take delivery of today has had a recall put out on it, such that it's federally prohibited from being registered. Any Compass built between 9/5 and 11/19 are being recalled for a passenger airbag issue but the fix may not be available until as late as January.

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/jeep-recalls-7000-new-compass-suvs-for-airbag-troubles/

Per Mopar's TSB summary:

"Some of the vehicles may experience loose Passenger Airbag (PAB) inflator mounting nuts in the PAB module assembly. Inflator mounting nuts inside or outside of the cushion assembly can potentially strike an occupant through the cushion fabric. Either of these failure modes may result in occupant injury during a crash that requires PAB deployment."

where are you getting the TSB's?

Also just put in an order for an olive green sport 4x2, manual transmission with tech and cold weather group last Tuesday.
