I recently just both a 2017 Jeep Compass trailhawk. Does anyone hear something loud when the vehicle switches to AWD like I hear it when it shifts. It’s very hard to explain? Just any similar experiences would be nice to hear.
Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure I understand your question. An AWD vehicle is always in AWD. If you mean twisting the mode selector knob, no, I don't think I get any noise. Then again its been a long time since winter which is when I use it so I can't be 100% sure.

If I move from autostick back to Drive I get a metallic clunk and I believe that is related to the AWD engaging/disengaging.

See it’s in auto at all times. So if my car like slips or anything like that I guess the 4wd kicks in. But I can hear and feel it. I’m just wondering if that’s normal.

Over the weekend I fiddled with my 4wd knob. I didn't hear any sounds.
