My 2007 Compass is needing brakes. Do I need any special tools or will regular wrench/socket work for removing calipers?

Thanks,

Gary

No special tools and a 3/8 drive metric set is all you really need. Caliper grease I would suggest to lub the guide pins though. There should be a doc in the brake thread I posted a long time ago if you look/search as well but its the easiest service to do on the Compass. One thing they did right !!

Good luck although its not needed unless you have a caliper hung up which will cause on rotor and pads to wear very fast since its not releasing.

Awesome!! Thanks!! I will look for your document.

EDIT: Found your doc. You're right! Easy peasy! I'm guessing front is pretty much the same?

Yes dead easy. I used to do them once a year. So much rusting. Now I have plated drilled & slotted rotors. No worries with them so far.
