Working from memory here, (joke in there somewhere).
The card you get to buy gas is not honored all the time, or at all locations.
The payback difference credit from Chrysler (down to the $2.99 price) is not always credited, leaving the card holder responsible for paying the card balance at the higher cost/gallon.
There is a cap on the number of gallons they have calculated you will use over the life of the agreement.
You forgo a $500 rebate if you get the card.
They can cancel the card if your use in a given month seems excessive. (Take a trip?).
... Like your father said regarding if something seems too good to be true...
