Consumers Report had finalized the top American manufacturers and low and behold Chrysler is very worst of all across the board in all metrics. Why am I not surprised. With the experiences of others and my own I've heard about on this forum its been pointing to that for some time. Even dealing with dealer including the good ones service is limited and poor due to intervention by the head office support group who have the final say on whether to repair the problem or dub it as Normal and send you on your way. They have done this to me a number of times, hence I talk from experience.

See it here: http://news.consumerreports.org/cars/2010/02/2010-consumer-reports-automaker-report-cards.html

Polish your wrenches and break out the diagnostic equipment. I believe we'll need shares in a part depot for these Jeeps.

Wow, I knew Chrysler vehicle ratings had dropped off but didn't realize they had fallen quite that far. :(

Maybe I've been lucky or maybe it's too soon. Mt family and I have owned a number of new Chrysler products and have had no serious problems.

07 Compass: son just traded it it with 58,000 miles and only issue he had was with the "paper" bubbling on the door pillars (He bought a 2011 Wrangler).

05 PT Cruiser: wife traded it in with 49,000 miles and only issue was head gasket which the dealer replaced.

09 Caliber: other son's daily driver. Has 17,000 miles and never in the shop.

10 Challenger SE: my main ride. 16,000 miles and only issue was a door weatherstrip.

09 Patriot: wife's ride. 18,000 miles and no issues.

06 Magnum: I traded it in with 47,000 miles and never had issues.

11 Compass 4x4: just got it and it seems solid.

Thanks for stepping up for Cryco.

Solid support for Chrysler, but don't forget you have not really pushed the milage on your vehicles and are enjoying the "newer" portion of their lives.
Never the less - you speak well on their behalf.
I love my '07 as much today as when it was new despite the inherent front end weaknesses.
My concern for the future is that there does not seem much happening with respect to "green", like were is the development of a hybrid JEEP. Bio-fuel, electric power and so on. The five dollar gallon, and two dollar liter is around the corner the way we are heading. Hopefully R&D has something in the works.
