Hi guys, I've just read (i cant find where now ) that the compass (also the commander) are to be discontinued in 2010. It seemed to be a legit press release. Anyone else have anything on this? Seems to be alot ofchanges goin on at HQ, I wonder has the fact that the Chrysler dealerships are disappearing over here anything to do with all these changes!!

Can't confirm it at this moment but I won't deny we are in for a lot of changes from all the major US auto makers.

Any chance of a Stout moble coming out of St James’s Gate? Some things will not last as long as Guinness.

American southern humor. As Guinness has been around 250 years I was suggesting that they might be able to teach American car companies a few things.

I'll have a black and tan and pay no attention to the CL attempts at merging humor and irony.

I would love to have a shot of a Jeep Compass sitting outside of St James Gate. Preferably with me behind the wheel.

Come to think of it when the light hits my Compass just right it is the same color as the foam on a head of Guinness.

I have seen 2010 Patriot adverts on the TV.
Can't imagine that they would drop one not the other.

Just to let you know..........there was a write up in a french newspaper (Lap Presse) last week stating that Fiat (new owner) is looking at redesigning a couple of models and mentionned both Compass & Patriot..........they were talking about redesigning not let them go because they are apparently the future in the Urban class vehicule......

Let's wait and see.

Not lookin good for our Compass guys. next line is from the examiner.com (sorry don't know how to attach link)

"Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chysler Sebring sedan, Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot will be axed. No shocker here, the PT was already saved from the executioner once, it has to be replaced at some point. Sebring and Avenger sedans have been trouble since the get-go for Chrysler. While the Jeep Patriot is passable, the Compass is quite ugly and a detriment to the Jeep brand's rugged image. Fiat platforms should play well in this space, but 2012 better hurry up and get here."

and there is lots more about on google news. Seemingly Fiat are having some big meeting today the 4th and announcing there plans for the future of all chrysler line ups!!!

Whaddya make of that!!!

It's funny ..........'cause they were saying totally the contrary in a french newspaper a few weeks ago..........apprently they (Fiat) were looking at improving the Compass, Patriot model to face the increasing oil price ahead !!!!

So let's wait and see.............
