Hi Folks, this info is a little dated, but I found it yesterday.
This will likely explain why many people (including my g/f and me) have ben waiting so long for compass orders..
As of Dec 1, there was 17,700 compasses in dealer inventory. This is on US sales of approx 3500 per month.
To put this in perspective, the inventory on calibers was only 15,400, and they sell 7500+ calibers per month.
So the facts that:
*inventory is lower on calibers
*they are moving much faster off the lots on average
*they are made at the same factory
has no doubt impacted the production floor time that the compass has had.
Just wanted to throw out some factoids to help explain the pain so many of us are going through..
