Hey guys I have question for those of you that have compass still under warranty. I have 11 compass sport which has warranty still left on it but I was curious if it HAS to go to dealer for scheduled maintenance in back of owners manual or if I can do the work myself if I keep parts receipts.

Another question if that is not possible can the services be done somewhere else other then dealer?

Last question lol... The scheduled intervals in manual are they completely free or do I have to pay for labor and or parts?

1 - I never actually schedule, every time I needed something to be fixed under warranty (I have and alignment done and a horn replaces) I just called the dealer to ask what was the best time to take the car and they fixed at the spot (the horn had to be ordered then I took the car a coupe days later and was replaces while I waited)

2 - since if it's something covered under warranty and they fix it without any cost for you and no questions asked, I can't see any reason to take the car anywhere else. You can take it to ANY jeep dealer, not only the one you bought your jeep from.

3 - that's just a schedule suggested by the manufacturer but required to keep the warranty and yes, you pay for labour and parts

So what your saying for #3 is any scheduled Maint. has to be done at some type of shop so there is official record of what was done to cover any warranty issues?
