Seems to do the trick. Maybe not as graceful as a wrangler or cherokee but gets the job done. I took mine onto a little trail the other day. Did great, felt comfortable going through the trail with decent clearance. I do need to get a lift though and some skid plates. Had to get up this loose gravel back to the main dirt road and I could have used a couple inches to avoid scraping some of that gravel. Good to see that the compasses can still get you where you want to go though.

When I first bought this compass offroading wasn't too much in the front of my mind, however you never know what your vehicle is capable of until you push it to the limits, and I keep getting surprised in what I can do.

One interesting thing about mud, since the compass is lighter than wrangler's ect, and doesn't have the axles hanging down low, it actually gets through the mud quite easily, i'm surprised.
