Greetings from Venezuela to all those of the forum, and congratulations to have the unico forum where we pruned to debate on our JEEP COMPASS.

I have been proprietor of a Jeep Compass 2007 color silver, for a pair of months, the truth I am very contented with the purchase, but I have noticed which much feels the inrregularidades of the highway and sounds to much the rubbers when rolling, as much that the sound equipment is not listened to within the cabin, the version of the Jeep Compass which they brought to Venezuela has the measurement of the 215/55 rubbers R18, marks continental, not if to this that to see with this noise. If you can give some tips like solving to this agradeceria me, or is something normal in these light trucks? GREETINGS.

excuse if I have some errors in the text but I do not speak ingles. :D

Welcome!

If I understand you right, you have alot of road noise and feel with the 18 inch tires right?

I notice a similar issue, mainly because the rims are so large and the sidewall of the tire is so small. I notice you "feel" the road more.

I suppose a fix might be to buy smaller rims with larger sidewalls for a more isolated ride (like 16 inch wheels). I just sort of got used to it.

In fact my daily vehicle has 20 inch rims..
That is correct, feels much noise of the way, has thought to only change the neumaticos to him, without changing to the inches, single the profile, but I do not have idea that rubber model I can mount to him so that the march is but isolated of the surface of the way and that not that does not beat with carroceria. If you have idea of as measured to put to him I am thankful to you.
Welcome. It's neat that we have so many members from outside North America. On the other forums that I've ran / hung out at they're 99.99% North Americans on them.

I went with 215/65R16 for my winter rubber instead of 17" or 18". This was the suggestion of the tire deallers, confirmed by my
jeep dealer. The ride is fine so this size would work for you, the higher sidewalls perhaps will smooth out the ride for you.
