it is required for the aftermarket radios (or you wont be able to connect your jeep's antenna to the radio without it). Just buy it off of ebay its cheap.

Lol my bad.. i saw that one was older than the other so i didn't know if you had moved sites.. and idk they model numbers for the harness and kit. the store just said they had them to fit on the 2010. and they didn't know if the 2011 were compatible. Do you know which model numbers are compatible? and for the antennae adapter as well?

well i did install the same radio in my 08 compass... so i'd say you will be fine with the wiring harness. I just looked at a photo of the dashboard of the the 2010 compass and they "look" exactly the same. So you SHOULD be fine with the 2010 dash kit too. I dont have a model number for the antenna adapter.

Where did u run the gps antenna, i have heard that some windows do not allow sat signal in. srry old post...newbs!!!
i mounted mine in the factory location under the dash. Behind the radio above the air vents. It will work through the plastic and windshield. the factory antenna is mounted on a flat panel under the dash in the same area.

i slid my antenna between the two top air vents, it flattens out behind them youll feel the spot. If you have a DD radio youre going to have to cut the lower bracket out of the dash to fit the new radio. If y ou have the power package with a 110 inverter the inverter is under the radio. I slid my XM box to the left bhind the AC button area. if you take the plug off your stock sirius antenna (if you had sirius) you can use the same factory antenna for the XM, thats what i did. They are both mini BNC connectors.

once you get the lower bracket off you get lots of free wire room as well. youll see once y ou get in there.
