Boy has it been a long winter here, in St. Paul, MN.

Got alot of snow, and this past week it's been in the 40's, and a lot of snow has melted, tricking us, and giving us a taste of spring fever.

Our city steets are full of potholes and frost heaves. With the independant suspension on the Compass, it's a rough and rugged ride.

We're expecting 10 to 14 inches of snow today.

St Paul ended up with 7-8 inches. Eden Prairie, a 2nd ring Mpls suburb got 17 inches. We've got all the snow removed from the sidewalks and driveways, and my husband got to work today, about 1/2 hr late. Luckily, it's a holiday, so less traffic on the road. The city plows have been through, so thinks are somewhat back to normal.

Snowbanks are high enough so that last night, our German Shorthaired Pointer (Gator - named after back to back UF championships, apologies to all other SEC backers) was able to walk on top of the snow and walk over what part of our fence was sticking out of the snow on the side of the garage, and take a stroll around the neighborhood. Thank God that he is good on recall. I had to barracade that area off so no more escapes.

Saw a few neighbors getting stuck, even after the plows went through, but not our Jeep! I guess the good part of the snow is the fact that after the roads are plowed, it fills in the pot holes.

Had enough of winter, but the Jeep does make it more bareable.
