DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - INVERTER MODULE

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable. Wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. Did you figure out the problem yet?

NOTE: This only works when the engine is running! I am not sure (haven't bothered to test it) but if its drawing power without anything plugged in or not. I've only used mine for cell phone charge but prefer to use a 12V charger for the phone so its not been used for at least a year or more. LOL

Inverters can draw a lot of amps and it not practical to use that for something running at 5VDC for example.

I was able to remove the center console and remove the 115v inverter. I am now in search of a replacement part for 115v inverter... Doesn't have to be from Chrysler... Anyone have a good place to buy one under 40 bucks or a good trustable site for replacement parts for this part.

Did you verify it failed. There are many 150watt inverters (bigger and smaller out there). Its a question whether they'd fit with the system. My experience is that the OEM is highly proprietary in connecting anything to the factory electrics.

is that a site or place because where I am in the state of North Jersey we do not have actual car part yards that are open to the public but, we have a ton of scrap metal yards.
