My 2013 Compass 2.2 LTD Diesel developed a niggle about 3 weeks ago. Having depressed clutch and turned ignition key there was nothing happening to start the car. All the dash lights stayed on and all systems apart from starting were working.
Eventually after about an hour with the clutch pedal depressed hard down, and I mean hard down, it caught and started. The garage found a fault in the relay box under the wing and leaned out the gunge and water and all ok. The same thing happened this week and I just got the car back.
Is this a known fault ?
I don't understand that with british weather this has only just happened and I have had the car from new.
Anyone any ideas?
Apparently the switch on the clutch pedal is not faulting.

My 2014 Compass had a siliar problem. The engine would crank, but would not start.
The fuse box pin connector to the relay breaks off due to corrosion/heat and loses the contact, thus preventing the vehicle to start.
Here is the tread I made, with the attached video showing the issue.
