Well with that millage your 3 years warranty is up but is very low. I'd call Chrysler Customer service and complain about it. They may give into a one time warranty repair for you. If that side is gone you're looking at the other side as well. Thanks for this information. I'm considering trading in the Compass for a hybrid.
David?David, I'm taking your advice and having the Compass towed by Chrysler to the dealer. Apparently my warranty is not up. I bought the car new in Aug.2008 as a 2007 leftover. Thanks for all your help.
Why am I not surprise the 2009 had dropped a lot since before. I know I have taken mine in so many times and most multiply times to resolve problems that the dealers know me by name!! LOLWe've updated our reliability stats for the Compass to include owner experiences through March 31, 2013.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2010 Compass: 21, low, small sample size
2009 Compass: 11, low
2008 Compass: 56, moderate
2007 Compass: 58, moderate
We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:
2008 Compass: 62, < 1
We'll have further updates in August and in November.

Ooops, yeah well you got that one right. Its a work in progress. One day I'll have it all sorted out once I pin point the last issues.I fear you've read the results backward. A low repair frequency means there have been few repairs, not many.
It sounds like yours is much worse than most. Unfortunately, this can happen with any car.
