Hi Tomr269 and Harshad,

We understand the frustration with this matter. We are aware and advised that an update will address the matter. However, some tips from other members have been shared that seemed to have helped.

I've posted this on one of the other many threads on this subject but here goes again.

It's clearly a bug, Jeep needs to fix it. But I've worked out how to adjust the brightness:

In manual brightness mode and with the headlight set to Auto I've found that:

When the headlights are automatically switched on, I can adjust the brightness setting for when the headlights are off.

When the headlights are automatically switched off, I then have access to the headlights-on brightness setting.

So you can adjust the brightness level setting for the opposite of the state of the headlights.

Doesn't seem to apply if you manually switch the headlights on or off.

Dumb, but at least it gives the ability to set the brightness manually for those struggling to see their display.

It's remarkable that this has been a known issue for nearly four months and there's no fix in sight. What is the rule on having a vehicle declared a Lemon when there's a service notice saying "don't bother replacing parts, it won't fix it"?

This also has just started on my 2022 compass limited. Thought I had blocked a sensor or something. Any fixes?

Hello everyone,

We apologize for the inconvenience this causes as the internal teams work to address this symptom. At this time, a software flash is the expected resolution as replacing parts is not required. We assure further updates will be shared as they're received to our teams!

So, regarding the dash and display being very dim and appearing to be stuck in "night mode", I found out the following after taking my 2022 Compass TrailHawk to the dealer this morning. There were some faults that required the tech to do a reset on the system which solved the issue temporarily. Here are the codes from the sheet they gave me (with a number of detail lines below each:
TCM | U0155-00 | Stored | Lost Communication with Cluster/CCN-
FFCM | U0422-00 | Stored | Implausible Data Received From Body Control Module-
ACC | U-0155-00 | Stored | Lost Communication with Cluster/CCN-

Dealer has told me that they'll need to replace the Body Control Module and that is scheduled for a future visit.

I have the same issue when our 2022 compass hit 11,000 miles. Very frustrating.
Just hit 11k and I’m stuck in night time mode. Calling the dealer Monday. Interesting to see I’m not alone. Jeep compass trailhawk ‘22
Hi audreyyhsu and Jsafford,

We apologize for the frustration. In previous posts, we mentioned that Engineering is aware of this symptom and they're developing an update to address it. Additionally, our team will continue to check for any information when it will be available.

Okay, I don’t get why this issue hasn’t been resolved. My Compass is now having the same issue. This was identified months ago with no resolution. I had the joy to hiking a few miles for gas as I couldn’t see the display in the daylight.

Hi everyone!

I am extremely frustrated as this is also happening to me. How can one spend over $40,000 on a vehicle and have these issues that apparently nobody can fix? It has gotten to the point where it is dangerous to be driving with the screen so dim.

Hi lindsco,

In a previous post, we acknowledged this concern is expected to be addressed through an update soon! I do not have the exact timing when it will be released, but we continue to share the feedback we're seeing on the forum towards the proper teams. We'll be certain to share updates as they're received!
