After owning this 2020 Jeep Compass Trailhawk for a little over three weeks. I just found out when the headlights are on, the Fog lights will light up as you make turns. Left turn, the left side fog lights will light up, right turn the right side fog lights will turn on. Once the turns are done the fog lights will turn off.

On the highways with street lights ,it was hard to notice. I notice a few times in the early evenings on the farm the fog lights would light up (auto lights on). This morning it was really dark on the coffee farm dirt road, as I was making the turns, Ah! It really “helps” light up the pathways as you make the turns!

What a great feature to have!

That's the "Cornering lights" feature. Also goes on with the turn signal if the fog lights are off.

Thank you. The fog lights will go on with turn signals when fogs lights are off? Good to know.
I like the idea of those “ cornering light features! It really helps on those dark roads.

I also notice the Jeep Compass/ Trailhawks ,the high beams cover a wide board area. My Tacoma TRD, when I turn on the high beams, it shines only in a narrow width. And there is a line cut off.
After adding “ditch lights”on the Tacoma, it will light up sides of the roads.
The Jeep Compass high beams will almost do the same or if I am using the headlights with the fog lights almost the same coverage as my Tacoma ditch lights. Actual ditch lights are powerful.
I am impress with the lights on my Jeep Compass Trailhawk.

Well, let's put it this way...When both lower lights are on, they are fog lights. When fog lights are off and one side comes on with the turn signal or turning the wheel, then it's a "cornering light". 😁

It’s def a great feature. It took me awhile to figure why my lights would get brighter when I turn. It’s one of those things you see it but ignore it but in back of mind you thinking of it. They fix this radio issue I’ll be satisfied with my purchase.

It is a nice feature. I just learn why my parking brakes sometimes DO NOT release when put into another gear. ( Parking brakes is always engage once in. park.)
Sometimes it will NOT release once put in another gear .

Because you always need to press on the brakes first, when switching out of park. There are times I forget to step on the brakes and wonder why park brakes are NOT released.
I just learn something new.

I have my parking brake engage automatically when in park. I like it. Also especially hill parking. Great option. A lot to learn I suppose. Haven’t gotten the auto heat thing down yet with heated steering wheel and seats. No big deal. They heat up fast in manual. Rain sensing wipers….a bust. Useless. I use manual. I do believe too much technology in these vehicles

If you use the remote start and the temp is below 40F the heated wheel and seats should activate automatically. If you start by pressing the button on the dashboard, you have to turn on those options manually. Likewise if it's above 40F, those options won't activate automatically.

There is an Auto-On setting (if equipped) in the uConnect settings, it can be set to Off, Remote Start, or All Starts. Maybe yours is set to Off, or maybe your Compass doesn't have that feature.
