I am looking at purchasing a 2007 Jeep compass that has about 60.000 miles. How many miles can I expect to get from the 4 cylinder engine assuming it is well maintained?

Thanks

0 because im going to tell you that it's in your best interest to not buy one! unless you want to replace expensive parts all the time im at 160,000km and i have had nothing but problems. there is another member on the board with issues aswell the transmissions are garbage and the whole suspension system is terrible. do you want to be replacing tierods every 30,000 km? how about control arms... better yet my rear trailing arms are both shot and some other linkages. i had alternator number 3 installed last month. save yourself a headache and don't buy a compass!

If worried about the reliability and quality can always go to a new 2011 Compass, if money permits :)

Well its out of warranty so expect to put a lot of money into it in repairs. The 2007 had plenty of wear out early issues which carried on to the newer but the statistic appear better for the 2009 & 2010. Go with a new or very near new with the full warranty on it stil at minimum.

Or you'll be sorry. Big time sorry!!! Or better still buy something else.

I own a 2008 Compass, 2.0L, FWD and i'm at 225,000KM, I've only had one major repair ($$$). and maybe 1500$ of parts other than brakes and regular maintenance put in it since owning it.
