I just broke my record for fuel mileage on the compass today. I went 535kms before the fuel light came on. When I filled up at 537kms I only put 45 litres in, so I still had 6 litres in the tank. My previous best was 530kms.

Lot of downhill driving and tail winds in Orangeville.

You'll get a call from Shell as their demand drops to start buying gas.

Hyundai, Kia admit to bogus fuel efficiency claims

Well there is no question in my mind that the claims by Chryslers Jeep divison is bogus as well. It does not achieve the rated MPG and its high time they were on the hook for it. :hail:

See this article where THEY came forward and initiated compensation. Not some 3rd party leaking it. :hail::hail:

Well done.

Well, I have been away and only just got back this morning from Florida. I drove around the southern state. Roughly Ft Lauderdale -Key West- Naples- Saint Petes Beach - Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Tampa.

I rented a car larger Impala but got upgraged to a Ford Taurus which was a fully loaded deep red full size I believe. Easily seats 5 and all the whistles and bells. I had a 3.5L engine (popped the hood to see after 5 days) becaues I could not believe the millage it was getting. Easily in the mid to high 30's MPG US gallons. I saw the onboard computer later and toggled it to dispay on the dash later. I could drive for days on a half tank hundreds of miles. I was get > 35MPG 35-55MPH and less > 65MPH. This with the AC on in a big car. I was impressed very impressed. Gas was $3.2x to $3.30x per gallon.

I'll be slumming it it now back with my two Jeeps who drink gas in the city or lower speeds. Yes the compass is not good in stop go situations which did not affect the Taurus I just drove. I have to baby it on the hwy and stay under 100km/hr to get a resonable return in efficiency.
