Try switching to manual brightness control and adjusting the headlight-on brightness in daytime and the headlight-off brightness at night.

Also the instrumentation brightness is controlled by the brightness wheel to the right of the headlight control.

Having this same issue. Tried all the things users suggested that has worked for them; disconnected batteries, messing with the brightness, took it to two dealerships, etc. I’ve seen where jeep cares assures an update is coming but WHEN. It’s literally unsafe to drive and it’s been months of a known problem with no timeline of when the update will be released. Very frustrating.

We disconnected both batteries and it worked. I was stuck in night mode for weeks.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU this actually worked!!! My ‘22 Compass got stuck in night mode early February just after hitting 11k miles. Drove around that way for over a month until my dealership appointment, only for them to tell me that Jeep is aware of the issue and they are going to release an update but until then there’s nothing that they can do. Oh and they don’t even know when the update is going to be released. Stumbled across this post and had my husband disconnect and reconnect the batteries and it’s back to normal! So grateful. 🙏
