Hi,

New to this site.

My wife and I are still waiting to get out limited 4x4 red. the factory said they haven't started any new production line of the limited.

How does the car ride? Did any of you get the 9 speaker Boston aqustic speaker system?

We are excited about this car but getting fustrated seeing some of the dealership having the limited 4x4 in the showrooms.

Thinking of cancelling the order and switching to the Nitro.

I had to wait quite a while too, but now that I have my Compass, I am glad I waited.
You say there are some in the showroom? What feature are you waiting for on the ordered Compass?
Still waiting for my Red Limited as well....

SO I'm not the only one having to wait an agaonizing amount of time to receive a new Jeep Compass. I am in Manitoba, Canada and I placed an order for one; gave a down payment the whole deal. They told me they would have to place an order from the factory as there wasn't a red limited with the manual trans and all of the other options. They said I'd be lucky to get it before Christmas. Yikes! this waiting is nothing short of daily torture!
The large Jeep dealer about 15 miles from me has 36 Compasses in stock (according to Jeep.com). I noticed that the majority of them are FWD models.

I dealt with a very small dealer and they have only one on the lot ... a black Sport 4x4 with few options other than the CVT transmission.
I went to a dealership last night hoping to maybe trade in my Civic for a black Compass Limited 4x4 5spd, but to my surprise they only had 2 base models on the lot and thats it. I took a test drive and loved the thing and we talked business on a Limited 4x4. It turns out the wait on that is..... 12 weeks. I don't think I could put money down on something that doesn't exist until next year. Its too bad. I fell in love with this Jeep recently

I was in the exact same position, but we did drop 500 down on a steel blue limited 4X4 with every option save chrome wheels (didn't want)/ nav (the wait) / sunroof (didn't want).

They lowballed my g/fs civic for trade in so we're selling it privately.

 8)

It will be a long wait but worth it I bet.

fyi adam, I see windsor chrysler has 6 limiteds in stock. If I were in Ontario I'd buy from them but I'm all the way in alberta. If you're inclined, a guy named Stev Desjardins works there who is a great guy.

They have a black 4X2, Silver 4x2, and 4x4s in silver, red, marine blue and khaki..

May be worth a phonecall.

Thanks for the tip ACX. I think I might start calling around. If I can find a colour/transmission/trimlevel that I can live with I might settle for one on the lot. Otherwise I might wait until the wait time is less. In my opinion it shouldnt take more than 2 weeks to get a special order on a normal road car. This isnt the latest toy from italy or anything :) Come on Chrysler, git'er done!

no worries. That guy should be able to set you up if he has one that looks good.

In terms of special order I'm afraid things will only get worse or at least remain status quo..

The Jeep patriot goes into production here in a month or so, and will be the third and final model produced at the belvidere plant. This will provide further pressure on the compass.

Couple this with the fact that I would assume that the caliber (which is selling more) gets priority on the line, and the fact that the plant isn't running at capacit y(last I heard due to some robot issues) and we have a bit of a s**t storm.
