Only one or two people on here with 2nd gens (released in 2018) have made it to 100,000 miles so far, I'm only at 50k myself, so its pretty early to say just from our forum's experience whether these engines have any long-term issues with sludge build-up or not. They might have more data over on the Renegade forum where they've been using the 2.4 motor for a few years longer.
I kinda doubt its worth the hassle, in general, but then again some of these motors consume so much oil and we're starting to realize it may be caused by blow-by, so maybe if you find yourself topping the oil off a lot it might be worth looking into, as your missing oil might be going through the PCV system and that could cause sludge for sure.
