Oversensitive Steering

I have a 2022 Trailhawk Compass. It is hard to keep it going straight. I have to make constant minute corrections to keep it centered on road. There is no play whatsoever, and that may be the problem. 35 psi in front and 32 psi in the back may be a factor.

I run my tire pressure 38 all around. If it was older I'd think it was a tie rod or something else in the front end. Have you hit any nasty potholes that might have messed up your alignment?

You must still be under warranty. Have your dealer take it for a ride.

Never hit anything, was like this since day one. Why do you run pressure so high?
Have you deactivated the Lane Assist? (It will steer you otherwise.)

If so, have you had the tracking/geometry checked?

No, how would that effect it exactly?
Driving at speed, Lane assist will nudge your steering to keep you from crossing lane markers etc.

If your tracking/geometry is out, the car will drift gently left or right with the steering wheel straight ahead.

I have turned off the Lane Assist and there seems to be some improvement. Again, please explain why this seems to be affecting the steering sensitivity even though I am not leaving the lane of travel.

U need to adjust your sensitivity.. Had the same problem with the '21 renegade we traded in for the compass..
I set it to low. Seems to help. I still don't understand how any of this would help if I have Lane Assist Off and also if I am already in the center of the lane.
What really helped was lowering front tire pressure from 35 to 32. Not as sensitive now and actually handles the road bumps better.
