Good evening everyone! I have a 2014 Compass with 50,000 miles. It is currently at the dealership being worked on for a loud popping noise it makes when turning. The car makes the noise when I turn right and left. It also makes the noise when driving forward or backing out. The mechanics can't seem to find the issue. They have replaced quite a few parts. They are saying it is not the CV joint. I asked them if it was an issue with the steering column when I dropped it off again last week. Any ideas what is going on with this? I feel like the car is too new for a lot of wear. Especially since it has mostly highway mileage on it. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

Could definitely be an array of things if it's not the CV Joint. Could be the steering linkages, could be something more branched off in relation to suspension as well.

Does it do it also just sitting still? There is a lot that can be causing noises. Being with the vehicle driving it as the dealer should be able to isolate it. Its a long short for us to guess. Sway bar links can make that sound I am sure and likely other components. it depends on a lot as to what is moving or not.

I guess they need to spend more time checking things.
