When I had my last Patriot, I got spoiled when I found out about the heated seats....Let me tell you in the New England winters that feature can be a HUGE benefit......

Now with my new set of wheels and knowing technology grows as years pass by I have a question that I thought you more experienced folks who have it and have figured it out could help me with.... If not I'll dust off the manual or call my Sales Guy and make him earn his keep... So here's the question....

With my 2018 Compass, the heated seats/steering wheel automatically come on whether I've used the remote start or started it with the push button start....It also kicks on even if I've turned off the Fan, turned down the temp and have the control dial set to the far left....

I know (or at least I hope) there's a way to disable that part once spring comes back to New England ....Any thoughts or input would be appreciated....

Thanks

Pretty sure it won't turn on by itself in warmer temps.

Yep, they only turn on automatically if the outside temp is below 40F
Mine has never done this, it will only turn on when I use remote start.
You can change this in the uconnect settings. From the manual:

Auto-On Driver Heated/Ventilated Seat & Steering
Wheel With Vehicle Start — If Equipped

Off
Remote Start
All Starts
NOTE:
When this feature is selected, the driver’s heated seat and heated steering wheel will automatically turn on when
temperatures are below 40° F (4.4° C). When temperatures are above 80° F (26.7° C), the driver vented seat will turn
on.

Both in my Dart that I had prior, and this vehicle, they quit coming on when the outside temperature is over 40 degrees.
