I have a 2018 Compass and both dash air vents, located closest to the doors, rattle on a road with very small pot holes. I took it to the dealer and they could not hear the rattle during a test drive. I requested to take the mechanic out and point out the noise, he did hear it during our drive. When you put pressure on the top of the vents the noise stops. He ordered out new vents and replaced them two weeks later. One of the new ones is louder than the original one. I found a YouTube video about this issue - they removed the vent, took it apart and lubricated it with mechanics grease. Once put back together it no longer rattled. The video only had still images and did not show were the hidden torx screw was located. Can someone show me where that hidden screw is located?

Whoa. I thought it was the chrome plastic around my gauges rattling. I think I'll check this area now so thanks!
