Had a lot of rain lately. But in the past two days, my rear wiper has come in by itself twice. Both times right after starting it, both times the rear wiper switch was set to "off". Only wiped once, then nothing. I don't think I've got automatic wipers.
Is this a feature related to front wiper use, or a short problem?

This has happened to me as well. I don't know if it is related to temperature/rain etc. As far as I know my jeep is only the 4x4 sport model and doesn't have the package/option of automatic wipers. I would never expect them to go on by themselves.

This is why I hate modern technology.
It used to be if you want some widget to do something, you hit a button.
If you didn't hit the button the widget shouldn't be going.
If the widget was going and you didn't hit the button you knew something was wrong.

Nowadays widgets do random things all the time, and you just can't figure out if it's gone haywire or there's some sensor that's telling it to do that you weren't told about.

IMO If I want something done, I'll tell the machines to do it. We're just 2 steps away from skynet at this point.

According to the manual, if you have your front wipers turned on and put the vehicle in reverse, it will run the rear wiper one time to clear the window
Awesome! That makes so much sense. A lot of times when I park the jeep I leave it in reverse (i for some reason have nose downhill).
