I have 2018 Trailhawk. I want to upgrade my rims to 17x8 from the stock ones. Does anyone know if this will cause any issues with rubbing in the wheel wells? Ultimately I want to put on 245/65 R17 tires. Going for a more rugged off-road look with better traction and stability from the increased tire width.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You can make anything work, you will need to do a little research and contact a aftermarket wheel company. IMO if you want to run that size tire 29.5" tall you will need a lift kit. Which there are couple available. That size wheel I would guess you would need a offset of 30 or so. That's were a wheel shop would be able to tell you. Look into the Jeep Renegade Forums and you maybe able to find some of your answers or get some idea and help from some members there.
The wheel well size could be a limiting factor, Our wheels openings don't leave a lot of space for larger tires.
Good luck and keep us informed on what you learn.
