I have a question for anyone with the 8.3" u connect with sirius xm enabled.

So if you have the radio button pressed and the screen is showing you the channel and the song playing, etc there is a "*" button on the bottom right of the screen where youre supposed to be able to press it and set an artist and/or song that is a favorite so it alerts you whenever it plays on any channel.

Ive been noticing that sometimes when a song is playing, I will click the button and the two options to select are grayed out and not able to be selected. I figured maybe it had to do with the car being in motion maybe as a preventative measure but it seems to happen no matter if im stopped, or moving.

Has anyone had this issue or know why it would only be available certain times?

good its not just me. its so annoying because i really do want to use that feature and i gotta wait til the artist comes back on (sometimes days) before it finally allows me to set it properly

For me its only greyed out if I have already selected that song or artist in the past, you can't add the same favorite twice so it doesn't show the option. At least, thats my understanding.

Mine does it as well. The radio does not let every every artist get selected. I think I have 20 picked, so no where near the max of 50 on mine. Which is funny, because my OLDER Jeep let me choose 100. Jeep is following VW in decontenting the interior. Also, gloves do not work with this 7" screen unless they are smart phone friendly. In my '15 KL with the 8.5" screen, I could wear leather gloves and still make stuff happen on the screen.
