Brake switch to tell ECU you have pedal pressed in order for it to allow you to take it out of park or start it. also controls brake lights in rear.. Replace with a new one.

Any tips or help on this? Do I need to tow to Jeep dealer?

You can try to straighten out plunger n see if it will work but I would recommend towing it to dealer. Also don’t mention the pulling up on the pedal part as that will negate warranty and you will have to pay for repair.
